The Xbox Games with Gold for January 2017 is now out, prepping most for the new batch of free titles to look forward to. Xbox 360 gamers can look forward to two new games, while Xbox One subscribers technically get all four.
Xbox 360 Free Games for January 2017
Among the free games for Xbox 360 members include The Cave and Rayman Origins. The Cave will be available starting Jan. 1 and will be up until Jan. 15. On the other hand, Rayman Origins will become available thereafter on Jan. 16 until Feb. 15, Attack of the Fan Boy reported.
Thanks to the Microsoft backwards compatibility program, both The Cave and Rayman Origins will be available to Xbox One subscribers as well. For reference, both games normally retail for $14.99.
Xbox One Free Games for January 2017
Aside from The Cave and Rayman Origins, the actual Xbox Games with Gold for Xbox One users are World of Van Hellsing: Deathtrap and Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition. World of Van Hellsing: Deathtrap will be available for the entire month of January 2017. Its normal price is pegged at $19.99.
On the other hand, Killer Instinct Season 2 Ultra Edition will be available only starting Jan. 16, but will be available for Xbox One gamers until Feb. 15. The normal price for this in the market is $39.99. The free games for January 2017 were recently revealed via the Major Nelson website.
The new Xbox Games with Gold are expected to go live in a couple of weeks, meaning users who have not taken up Microsoft for the December offerings can still do so.
That will, however, exclude “Outland” which is no longer available. Still, live are “Sleeping Dog: Definitive Edition”, “Outlast”, and “Burnout Paradise”. With the holidays up, these should keep gamers occupied until the new batch comes in.
