Winston Churchill, the former prime minister of Britain, had an ardent interest in the existence of aliens. This was discovered when an essay written by the prime minister was uncovered. In his essay, he floated predictions and ideas that are being used at present by scientists

The piece written by Churchill was eleven-page long and believed to have been written for a newspaper. The wartime prime minister wrote the essay while musing about the way to make contact with aliens. The title of the essay is “Are We Alone in the Universe?”

Shocking Alien Facts Revealed by Winston Churchill

Churchill provided accurate scientific predictions in the essay that are the same with the ideas and concepts embraced by scientists at present. For one, the article talked about the high chances of life on Mars and Venus. He said that as Mars and Venus were quite close to the Sun, alien life was possibly present their. He stated that the these were the only two planets after Earth which could conceive life. At present NASA, Elon Musk, China, Russia as well as independent agencies had been spending millions in their quest for life in Mars.

According to The Independent, Churchill talked about discovery of extra-solar planets fifty years ago. In the essay, he wrote about what scientists later termed as “habitable” zone. These zones were the thin orbital areas where planets are not extremely hot or cold but provide an appropriate condition to support life.

Churchill also wrote that there could be presence of multiple stars with families of planets. He wrote that several of these would have an appropriate size to hold their surface water. These could also have a type of atmosphere.

He wrote that some of these stars would be at the proper distance from their parent sun to maintain a suitable temperature. “I for one, am not so immensely impressed by the success we are making of our civilization here that I am prepared to think we are the only spot in this immense universe which contains living, thinking creatures,” Churchill wrote.

Winston Churchill: The History Of The Essay

The predictions made in the essay are so relevant that those are the exact ways today’s scientists were researching about life beyond Earth. Scientists are doing constant research, while probing for life on Mars and Venus. They were also trying to look for alien species in the other part of the solar system such as Jupiter’s moon of Europa.

Churchill wrote the essay right after the 1938 broadcast of H.G. Wells’ The War Of The Worlds. The essay was never published. For a long time, Churchill’s work on aliens was hidden inside the US National Churchill Museum in Fulton, Missouri, since the 1980s, said The Daily Star. New museum director Timothy Riley uncovered the secret Winston Churchill essay.
