Fans have been clamoring for more Star Wars Episode VIII spoilers as weeks go by. There have been spoilers and theories but were unreliable. The best way to get the spoilers would be from the film’s writers, director or the actors themselves. Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley was ambushed by Hollywood stars and was pressured to spill some spoilers.
Director Josh Gad who films Murder on the Orient Express with Ridley continues to grill her for more spoilers. Gad posted Instagram videos wherein he keeps on pestering the actress for more plot revelations. However, Gad failed his mission. In a last ditch to learn more spoilers, Gad invited a host of Hollywood stars and directors to ask Ridley about any spoilers.
Star Wars Episode VIII Spoilers: Hollywood stars want spoilers too
In Gad’s latest video clip, he started apologizing to Ridley for what he has been doing over the last month. He promised her that he has no other questions. When he opens the door, Ridley was introduced to a room full of stars including Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Penelope Cruz. The other stars included Leslie Odom Jr., Derek Connolly, Lucy Boynton and Tom Bateman. The best part of the prank is the participation of Episode VII director J.J. Abrams and Episode IX director Colin Trevorrow asked Ridley for more spoilers.
The Hollywood stars asked some spoiler-filled questions. Pratt did not ask any questions but plugged all of his films. First, he mentioned that he was in the Guardians of the Galaxy. When Howard made a self-referential joke about high-heels, Pratt mentioned that Jurassic World 2 will open on June 2018. When the camera panned back to him one more time, Pratt mentioned that he will also be a part of the Avenger. Meanwhile, Cruz asked about Snoke’s character but she spoke in Spanish.
Former and future Star Wars directors troll Ridley
The best part of the video aside from Pratt’s constant promotion of his films was the questions of the former and future director of the Star Wars franchise. Trevorrow is set to direct Star Wars: Episode IX. He asked Ridley to give them just a few hints which will be helpful. Meanwhile, the most mysterious director during Episode VII, Abrams, begged the actress to tell him if Luke Skywalker has a line in Episode VIII. The full video is found below.
Ridley kept her cool and did not say any word. This is not the first time that Gad has done this kind of tactic to force Ridley to give up some spoilers. If ever he wants to get spoilers from Ridley, he has to raise the bar for his tactics. Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be out on December 15, 2017.
This has been a battle of attrition. #daisyridley has been a force to be reckoned with. In many ways she is the Vader to my Luke or the Taylor to my Katy. But like any good opponent, I have tried to outmaneuver her at every turn. This will be her final judgement. May the force be with her, because kids, she is going to need it. All I ask is that you don't ruin the surprise for others. #TheLastJedi #starwars #broughtsomefriendsalongfortheride @disney @starwars @penelopecruzoficial @prattprattpratt @brycedhoward @colintrevorrow @leslieodomjr @lucyboynton1 @brycedhoward @derek.connolly #tombateman @jjabramsofficial
