The Walking Dead season 7 was filled with events that sent a message to fans that the people of Alexandria are not safe from Negan. Moreover, the episodes were emotional and intense as Rick Grimes was revealed to be a leader with no hope.

While the mid-season finale did not disappoint fans, it did not leave them with smiles as well. Fortunately, the main cast of The Walking Dead has promised that there return would meet viewer’s expectations.

Recently Andrew Lincoln spoke to Entertainment Weekly about The Walking Dead. The actor said that the upcoming episodes in season 7 is “probably the opposite of what you just witnessed.”

He also added, “There’s a lot more levity, if you can believe that, than you have ever seen before in Mr. Grimes. There’s sort of a freedom in him, a feeling that comes from losing everything, and also the thrill of the fight. It’s the thrill of the fight again. He’s back in. All I’m saying is that the band is back together.”

Andrew Lincoln also teased Episode 16 to be the best in The Walking Dead season 7. The actor said the he “dropped” the “script and started punching the air and did a little jig” when he read it.

It’s possible that Negan meets his fate at the hands of Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead season 7 finale. However, the antagonist character has not been killed in the comics yet. It’s unknown whether the program creators have decided to sway away from the comic adaptation.
