The Vampire Diaries Season 8 may finally give its characters the happy ending that they deserve. Unfortunately, there is always going to be twists and turns before the show comes to an end. In fact, the characters will be trying their best to make things right in the upcoming episode.

There was a time when vampires and werewolves were all the rage when it came to fictional stories and shows. One of the top television series, The Vampire Diaries, got propelled to fame thanks to this hype. Many seasons later the show delivers the same appeal it did the first time.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 14: Two Villains, One Town

In the previous episode, the return of Kai Parker, played by Chris Wood, got back to his evil ways and kidnap Elena, played by Nina Dobrev. He also managed to take down Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, in the process. The arrival of Kai just added the tension to the devil Cade, played Wole Parks, and his plan to bring hell on earth. Now the beloved vampires of the series have two villains to deal with.

Kai returned to Mystic Falls when Matt rang the bell eleven times. Although he did initially promise Damon he would remove the sleeping spell on Elena. He went back on his word and disappeared with Elena’s casket at the end of the episode.

This could only mean that Season 8 Episode 14 “It’s Been A Hell Of A Ride” will reunite the Salvatore brothers to save Elena. Plus, they do have to stop Cade once and for all given they do not get stuck in Hell in the process. While the main focus is on the vamps and their villains, Alaric, played by Matt Davis, and Caroline, played by Candice King, have other problems. Now their twin daughters Josie and Lizzie are starting to get their magical powers.

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 14: The Return Of Elena

The writers have something big for the end of the series. Although, it is a given that all the characters are going through “hell” as the end approaches, there is good news. Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena, will be returning for the series finale on March 10. Given fans have patiently waited for her return, one sure thing about the show’s ending is that Elena will definitely be waking up one way or another. The upcoming The Vampire Diaries season 8 episode 14 “It’s Been A Hell Of A Ride” will be on 8 pm ET on February 24 on the CW.
