The new Tekken 7 video game release date has been announced with two editions to choose from. Tekken games became huge hits in the past, as a number of installments were released along with additional characters. While there were some upgrades done to improve the gameplay and graphics, the essence of the game remained the same.

Bandai Namco has never failed to impress gamers with the Tekken franchise. The game still retained its popularity for over a decade. Now the company has two editions in store for their fans — a deluxe edition and a collector’s edition.

According to Game Rant, Bandai Namco revealed that the latest game installment, Tekken 7, will be released on June 2. However, prior to the announcement, there were several leaks that uncovered more than just an unconfirmed release date. Fans uncovered a leak, via NeoGAF, from a British retailer, which revealed what was included in both editions.

Tekken 7 Deluxe Edition

The Tekken 7 Deluxe Edition will include both the game itself and the newly-announced season pass. This season pass will grant gamers access to many new fighters, costumes and stages in three different content updates. There will also be a new game mode that has yet to be announced.

There will also be two more playable characters with 30 metallic costumes. The lucky few who pre-order the game will get the vampire fighter Eliza. She has only appeared in Tekken Revolution, which is why she is considered a rare character in Tekken 7.

Tekken 7 Collector’s Edition

On the other hand, the Collector’s edition comes with a lot of physical items. There will be a 12 by 18 inches Kazuya and Heihachi mid-battle figurine. The set comes with the game itself, a steel book, a collector’s box, and the original game soundtrack as well.

The Tekken 7 video game will be released for Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. The Collector’s Edition retails for $149.99 and the Deluxe Edition retails for $75. Gamers in Japan will be getting an arcade edition of the game as well.
