The next episode on Supergirl season 2 will definitely be exciting thanks to the cast additions. A superhero will always have their share of threats from evil villains trying to save the world. While good almost always prevails, Supergirl will always have her hands full.

The previous episodes in the latest season of Supergirl weren’t very easy. In fact, Kara, played by Melissa Benoist, always had her hands full from saving the world. If not from that, she would have problems with her “normal” life and relationships.

Supergirl Season 2 Episode 16: New Villains On The Rise?

Supergirl’s latest adversary is someone completely new. The official synopsis reads that a new villain, played by Teri Hatcher, comes to National City and puts Kara on edge. However, she is not the only one Supergirl has to worry about, The Music Meister, played by Darren Criss, is also dead set on wrecking havoc as well.

In other news, Winn, played by Jeremy Jordan, has some trouble with his girlfriend, Lyra, played by Tamzin Merchant. Lyra manages to get her boyfriend into trouble with the law. While Maggie, played by Floriana Lima, tries to help Winn, old loyalties don’t permit her to.

The news of new villains isn’t new as fans were expecting it after news broke out there would be a guest cast. Teri Hatcher, in particular, played Lois Lane in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman, plays a villain in Supergirl. This comes as a refreshing change that she plays the bad guy on her return to the Superman franchise.

Supergirl Season 2 Episode 16: Another New Face

However, this is not the end of the problems that Kara will be facing. Actor Kevin Sorbo, who started in Hercules and Andromeda, joined the series as well. Both he and Hatcher appeared in the series on an alien ship. They were referred to as “highnesses” and seem to be headed to Earth. There is not a lot of details on their appearance, but speculations are it will be related to Mon El, played by Chris Wood.

As if dealing with new aliens is not enough, Kara has to deal with her best friend Lena Luthor. Metallo and Lillian Luthor escaped from their prisons, and the rest of the characters can’t seem to trust Lena. That is because her mother is trying to get her to exact revenge by using their familial ties to one another. Kara still trusts Lena, but everyone else does not seem to. Supergirl Season 2 airs on Mondays on the CW.
