The Nokia Heart is making headlines, as reports revealed new Nokia smartphones will be released in 2017. The smartphone market has grown significantly competitive over the past few years. Companies are vying for the top spot in terms of device features and sales.
Nokia phones were the most popular when the keypad-type devices were still the staple. Since the rise of the smartphone technology, the company has been struggling to keep their sales up. With so many other brands upgrading their products each year, many speculate that Nokia will not last very long.
However, according to Phone Arena, Nokia will be releasing seven new smartphones this year. It ranges from low-end to high-end models. The one that is being put in the spotlight is a phone unofficially called Nokia Heart.
The Nokia Heart runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat and packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. It is much smaller in comparison to the Nokia 6. While they have the same processors and OS, the two models greatly differ in build.
Nokia Heart has a 5.2-inch 720p display and has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. GFXBench’s tests reveal that Heart has a 7MP front facing camera and a 12 MP primary camera. However, the actual pixel count differs slightly. It’s camera is actually 13MP for the primary camera and 8MP for the secondary camera.
There is no specific date on when the Nokia phones will be announced. However, some are speculating that Nokia will make noise at the Mobile World Congress 2017 on February 27. This is because a lot of phones and electronics get showcased in the event.
In other news, the Nokia 6 smartphone will be going back on sale on January 26. Thousands of fans are waiting for it, as the first flash sale got its inventory sold out in the first 60 seconds. There were over one million registrations for the first sale, but only 10,000 units were sold.
