Android Nougat Update for Moto X Play Confirmed om Twitter

GSM Arena reported that the Moto X Play was hinted to be on board for the Android Nougat update. A month ago, speculations claimed that the Moto X Play will be one of the Motorola units to receive an update. It turned out to be true.

The confirmation for the Android Nougat update for Moto X Play came from the company’s branch in Germany, which tweeted about it. The update will apply to the Moto X Play SIM-free model in Europe.

It is expected to come before January ends, but the company did not give specific dates on the release. It is possible that the Nougat update will take longer in other countries outside Europe.

Furthermore, there is no assurance as to what type of Nougat the Moto X Play would receive. Motorola, it should be noted, has already updated some units like the Moto Z and the G4 into 7.0. Instead of having the Nougat 7.0, the X Play is speculated to have the Nougat 7.1.1.
