Lucifer Season 2 is on its final episode and the three-part story arc is finally at its end. Lucifer, played by Tom Ellis, has gone through a lot over the years and his life in Los Angeles has taken a turn for the worse. Just when things are looking up, Lucifer gets devastating news.

The latest episode “A Good Day To Die” will be all about how Lucifer will try to save Chloe’s life. In the last episode, Chloe, played by Lauren German, was poisoned and he must travel to hell to find the soul of the professor who made the poison. According to the official synopsis, he will have to confront his guilt about Uriel’s death. At the same time, he feels betrayed by his parents form a new discovery.

The Truth

In the previous episodes, “Stewardess Interrupts” and “Love Handles,” Lucifer was trying to figure out if Chloe’s feelings for him were real. Right when he was at a moment of happiness, his mother broke the news to him that Chloe was planned for him all along. Chloe’s parents were blessed by Amenadiel, played by D.B. Woodside, when he came to Earth. He gave them a child, Chloe. According to Fansided, her purpose is to be placed on a path to meet Lucifer.

Devastated and confused by the news, he tried to go confront Chloe herself. Unfortunately, she was found poisoned. Lucifer then went on to his journey to cure her and find out the truth.

Facing Ones Demons

While an exciting Lucifer Season 2 finale is in store for fans, Amenadiel has a lot of explaining to do. This means that he and Lucifer may get into a huge fight. However, according to International Business Times, the tiff won’t last long and Lucifer will reportedly forgive what Amenadiel has done.

Previously, Amenadiel felt very guilty for what he put Chloe through. He even visited her and her daughter, Trixie, in the hospital. This is when he and Trixie have a conversation that would reignite his guilt of blessing Chloe’s parents with a child. Fans can see how the Lucifer Season 2 finale unfolds on FOX at 9 pm EST on January 30, 2017.
