Director James Mangold confirmed in January that Logan will be an R-Rated movie. Fans also got to take a look at Wolverine and X-23 in action side-by-side in the official trailer. Finally, the runtime of the film was also revealed.

A festival website called Berlinale reported that Logan runtime is 2 hours and 15 minutes. More details about the film were also unveiled aside from the total runtime. The detailed description also provided more information on Wolverine, Professor X and X-23 in Logan.

Logan is set in the year 2024 after the events of X-Men: Days of Future and Past. Although Wolverine and the rest were able to stop the mass culling of Mutants, it has still drastically reduced their population. Furthermore, in present time, “the X-Men have disbanded.”

Wolverine Is Losing His Powers

The trailer suggested that Logan is going through issues with his mutant powers. Unfortunately, it is true as his “power to self-heal is dwindling.” Wolverine decided to give in to “alcohol and now earns a living as a chauffeur.”

Professor X seems to be in a worse condition compared to Wolverine. He is reportedly “ageing and ailing.” Moreover, the movie will also show that they are “struggling to survive financially.”

X-23 Is a Girl Named Laura on the Run

Wolverine and Professor X’s life once again goes through a twist when “a female stranger asks Logan to drive a girl named Laura to the Canadian border.” Although the superhero denied at first, Professor X was already aware of the girl’s existence. He has been waiting for her arrival.

Laura seems to be girl that is known as X-23. She “possesses an an extraordinary fighting prowess and is in many ways like Wolverine.” It looks like the girl is on the run as “she is pursued by sinister figures” to capture her by a “powerful corporation.”

“A decrepit Logan is forced to ask himself if he can or even wants to put his remaining powers to good use. It would appear that in the near-future, the times in which they were able put the world to rights with razor sharp claws and telepathic powers are now over,” the rest of the description indicated.

Wolverine is no longer the mutant he once was. However, it looks like his declining powers will be put to test as he struggles to protect Laura. Logan will hit theaters on March 3.
