Technology has changed over the years as it improved slowly but surely. Tech products have now become a necessity in everyday life. Now companies are going head to head to put out the best and most “complete” product upgrade in the market.

The competition just gets fiercer and fiercer as more and more features add to the build of necessary tech product. Smartphones and tablets have now become the epitome of carrying everything in one hand. However, there are still some things that are better reserved for an actual computer.

A New Upgrade

The latest release from Lenovo is the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon. This is a thinner and lighter version of the company’s flagship laptop. It is completely redesigned and boasts 14-inch OLED display and slimmer bezels.

This 2017 model looks very different from last years X1 Carbon, as noted by Yahoo Tech. The company decided to trim and tuck the entire chassis to make its footprint much smaller. Now it is the lightest business notebook at 2.5 pounds. While it is only a 0.1 difference from last year, every weight still counts.

Other feature that the laptop had is great battery life. According to The Verge, even on a charge that is two-thirds full, the battery life estimator noted roughly 10 hours of battery power. In fact, Lenovo promises 15.5 hours of battery life.

It still comes in the signature matte black styling, but Lenovo will be offering one that has a silver finish. However, it is highly likely that many will opt to go for the black version for its classic and corporate feel.

The top lid of the laptop still uses carbon fiber mesh to keep it light and durable at the same time. The rest of the body is made from an aluminum alloy. It also comes with two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, plus it charges via USB C as well.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with an SD card slot. The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 2017 will be available this February. An exact release date has yet to be announced by the company.
