Warner Bros. is still yet to release Justice League trailer #2. While the clamor for the trailer continues to grow, other crew members from the movie have managed to keep fans at bay to keep the excitement growing. So on Friday, fans were surprised when it was Director Zack Snyder himself who posted a material from the film.
A new photo shared by the Justice League director has sparked speculations among fans. The black and white picture he shared via Vero social media app has since became viral. The image shows the Kent family: Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent. The duo is holding a board that says “1994.” A bold font on the left corner says “Kents”. Flashback Scene Involving Kent Family In Justice League
Martha and Jonathan Kent are Superman’s Earth parents in Man of Steel. Jonathan has died in the Superman reboot movie but the character made a short appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Martha, however, is still alive and will appear in the upcoming Justice League movie.
Heroic Hollywood, which first spotted the photo on Vero, discussed the possibility that there is a flashback scene in the upcoming Justice League. However, some fans on twitter suggested that it could be a material produced during the production of Man of Steel.
1994 Could Be Connected To Man of Steel Death
Heroic Hollywood also pointed out that 1994 is the year the death of Superman took place in the comics. Moreover, Snyder is always known to release materials with Easter eggs, the site noted. If his previous posts for his other projects are anything to go by, the black and white photo that Snyder shared could be a plant-and-payoff.
Justice League takes place after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Batman, played by Ben Affleck, is on a mission to recruit metahumans and face “an even greater enemy.” Alien species from a planet known as Apokolips will be invading planet Earth. The DC superheroes will be going up against creatures known as Parademons and the villain Steppenwolf.
The Man of Steel has not been part of any recent promotional activity involving the Justice League. However, Zack Snyder has assured fans that Superman plays a prominent role in the movie. Justice League will hit cinema on November 17 this year.
