Netflix series Marvel’s Iron Fist is just around the corner. Here is a list of everything to know about the highly-anticipated show. With “The Defenders” arriving this year as well, 2017 is starting to look good for Marvel’s fans.

Iron Fist Release Date

Iron Fist’s release date is set on March 17. The first trailer came out at the New York Comic Con last October. A short teaser was made during the Luke Cage panel at the San Diego Comic Con.

Iron Fist Cast Members

Iron Fist’s lead actor is Finn Jones, who takes on the role of Danny Rand. He is best known as Loras Tyrell on HBO’s top-rated show “Game of Thrones.” His casting was not immediately met with enthusiasm, as some believed the role should have been given to an actor of Asian descent.

Included in the cast are Carrie-Anne Moss as attorney Jeri Hogarth and Wai Ching Ho as crime lord Madame Gao. Rosario Dawson will pay Claire Temple, a freelance nurse. Jessica Henwick also joins the show as martial arts instructor Colleen Wing.

Iron Fist Behind-the-scenes Team

Iron Fist showrunner is Scott Buck. Included in his portfolio are noteworthy shows “Dexter” and “Six Feet Under.” In a statement about the new Netflix series, Buck shared his excitement about this project. “I’ve always been drawn to writing complex, intriguing characters, and that’s what most excites me about the opportunity to bring Danny Rand and Iron Fist to life with Marvel on Netflix,” Buck said.

Iron Fist Plot

The story will revolve around Danny Rand and his return to New York City. As he tries to reconnect with his past and family legacy, he will be fighting criminals through his kung-fu skills, and of course, his Iron Fist.

Reports circulating online claimed that Iron Fist will have elements tied to Daredevil Season 1. Danny Rand is different from other Marvel characters, since he acquired his abilities not from chemical spills or experiments. Instead, he got them from a mystical city called K’un-Lun.

Iron Fist Location

Recently, a location for the show has already been hinted, drumming up excitement. Iron Fist actress Henwick shared a set image on her Instagram. Now, speculations are strong that Iron Fist Season 1 will feature K’un-Lun.

From the trailer, it can be presumed that most of of the action would happening in present-day United States, but fans are still excited to see how K’un-Lun will be portrayed on television. If this is the case, it will not be too far-fetched to speculate that season 1 will be showing Danny earning his abilities and his dragon tattoo.
