There have been various rumors regarding Ego. The second return of the galaxy heroes on the big screen will give a proper introduction to the new character. Kurt Russell will portray the role of Ego the Living Planet. The fans of the comic books will recognize Ego as a regular old planet with a desire to conquer other planets. In the comics, the God of Thunder Thor will put an end to Ego’s ambitions. There are some theories speculating that Ego could be the villain the Guardians of the Galaxy 2. As of the moment, there is no confirmation about Ego’s position as a character in the film.
Marvel unveiled the official trailer for the film during a recent episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. In addition, the trailer also introduced new characters including Mantis, Nebula, and Yondu. Moreover, the latest trailer treated the fans with some music included on Mixtape Vol. 2.
The events in Vol. 2 is set two to three months after the first film. The guardians will travel throughout the entirety of the cosmos as they struggle to keep their new-found family. The guardians are also helping out Peter Quill learn the truth about his parentage.

The latest preview included some scenes which featured the infant plant, Baby Groot. The trailer also emphasized on the team’s bonding moments while on board their spaceship. Like the previous trailers, the recent promo also focused on the humor. There are scenes that revealed the film’s action sequences. However, the best moments in the trailer came from the interactions of the team members.
Marvel set the trailer’s backdrop to the Awesome Mixtape #2. The new trailer gave a glimpse on the guardians’ meeting with Ayesha, a new villain which the guardians have to put down. Ayesha is the high priestess on Sovereign. The trailer showed Rocket Raccoon did not live up to the expectations, where outsiders think that the people of the Sovereign are ‘conceited douchebags.’ Fans can hop on the bandwagon when the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits the theaters on May 5.
