Baby Groot Forced to Wear a Costume in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Fans were initially surprised after seeing Baby Groot in a costume. Fortunately, Comicbook was able to ask Kevin Feige about the little Guardian’s attire. Surprisingly, it was not Baby Groot’s decision and neither is he happy about it.
“He only has it very briefly and that is a Ravager costume, which the very mean Ravagers sort of quickly sew and put him in, because they think it’s funny. Groot does not think it’s funny,” Feige said.
Groot Possibly Angry for Wearing Ravager Costume
Baby Groot certainly seems to be enraged, as he was shown running towards an enemy and throwing him off the bridge. Furthermore, he could possibly be the “mean Ravager” that put the costume on Baby Groot.
Feige also talked about the comedic tone from Guardians of the Galaxy. Some of the scenes in the debut movie showed the characters in hilarious and uncomfortable situations. He said that fans can expect similar content in the sequel as well.
“Well, I would say the spirit of that continues throughout the entire movie, starting with an opening in which they’re supposedly the heroes, but they went and snagged the frickin’ thing they were supposed to be protecting, which was a very early idea the James had,” Feige continued.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be released on May 5. The movie features a new character called Ego the living planet played by Kurt Russell. Fans are excited to see him team up with Star-Lord as he is his biological father.
