Game of Thrones Season 7 will be shown very soon and it looks like there will be a cast addition. The wildly popular HBO television series has had a number of twists and turns in the past season. However, the cameo roles make fans are extra anticipating.

The show is known for killing a lot of its main characters. Right when the audiences have grown attached to certain characters, the writers kill them in the series. Of course, this is based of the books, but no one wants to see their favorite characters die brutally.

Game Of Thrones Season 7: A New Face

The latest news is that Game Of Thrones season 7 will cast the famous musician Ed Sheeran for a cameo. David Benioff and Dan Weiss wanted to get Ed Sheeran to surprise Maisie Williams and they finally did it. They announced the good news at the south by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas.

This is not the first time that a guest star was added into the series. Apart from Sheeran, stars like Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody, Coldplay’s Will Champion, Mastodon, and Sigur Ros made cameos. In fact, there are a lot of music artists that want to make a cameo on the show. Weiss would always warn them that they would be sitting around for 3 days for 12 hours a day.

Game Of Thrones Season 7: Not Enough Episodes

Fans are looking forward to Game of Thrones Season 7 but felt a little disappointed when it was confirmed that it is set to end with Season 8. Further more, Weiss noted that the final season would only have six episodes. However, HBO still has to finalize the episode count as the writers are preparing for Season 8. He even shared they were arguing on who gets to kill Sansa Stark, played by Sophie Turner.

Game Of Thrones Season 7: A Sneak Peek

So far, fans are more focused on the things that will take place in the upcoming season. The bad news is that there are not a lot of details that were made public. A couple of teasers were released last week and only gave a brief look into the new set.

The Game Of Thrones clips were from Production Now, and only showed seconds of new footage from the upcoming series. The first was a clip showing the sword of Brienne of Tarth. However, the one holding the sword looks like it was a man rather than the sword’s owner. The other clip showed Cersei Lannister, played by Lena Headey, getting a touch up by the make up artists as she sit on a chair on set.

The Game Of Thrones season 7 release date will be on July 16, 2017. The cast consisting of Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Lena Heady, Kit Harington, Emilia Clark, and many more. It will be based on an outline of George R. R. Martin’s unpublished novels the Winds Of Winter and A Dream of Spring.
