UFO-obsessed Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge’s non-fiction book on UFOs is scheduled to be released on March 7, 2017. The title of the book is Sekret Machines: GODS. DeLonge co-wrote it with Peter Levenda, writer of numerous history and occult books.

Tom DeLonge: New Book On UFOs

Reports stated that the book is grounded on interviews with scientists, engineers, intelligence officers and military officials. Moreover, it would attempt to challenge the way people think about UFO sightings and other related incidents. It aims to be an investigative journey into the center of the UFO phenomenon.

“Sekret Machines is the opening salvo on the complacency of human institutions where the UFO Phenomenon is concerned,” Levenda said. According to him, the book is formulated to make people question their assumptions. Levenda added that the book is not just a fresh take on UFOs; it also provides a “hard look” at global religious texts and notions.

According to Rolling Stone, DeLonge stated that Levenda has the “ability to frame an esoteric thesis,” which helped him speak properly on this particular subject. Furthermore, Sekret Machines will contain a forward from Jacques Vallée, a computer scientist and one of the most famous authors and researchers on UFOs. Vallée actually inspired the French scientist in Close Encounters With a Third Kind, Claude Lacombe.

Vallée stated that academics have absolute disregarded for UFO sightings. Politicians and scientists allegedly covered up such events. The facts on such incidents, according to him, were suppressed by the military and mocked by the media as well. “Yet the reports continue to come,” Vallée stated. “The experience of the unknown has only deepened, raising unsettling questions about the intrusion of the uncanny in our shiny modern world of convenient machines and superficial entertainment.”

Tom DeLonge Book Release

On February 25, Delonge, Levenda and AJ Hartley will conduct a special Sekret Machines Q&A session. Along with that, there will an autograph session in the To The Stars headquarters in Encinitas, California, according to Loudwire. Admission to the event is free upon the purchase of the 2017 Sekret Machines Essentials Book Bundle.

DeLonge stated how difficult it is for people to understand how a musician in a band got such access. “It sounds crazy,” he said. “But it’s because I can speak to a very specific audience. I earned their trust. I knew my material.”
