Warner Bros. has finally made its first progressive move with The Flash since the departure of Rick Famuyiwa. However, the hiring for a new director for the speedster movie is still in process. But the studio has brought in a new scriptwriter.

An exclusive report from Variety has confirmed that The Flash script is going through a Page-One rewrite. Joby Harold was hired for the job and development is currently in progress. Warner Bros. has not made an official announcement yet.

Harold is quite known for the upcoming King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. He wrote the screenplay and co-wrote the story. It has been scheduled for release on May 12 this year.

The Flash Script Goes Through Re-write

Variety reported that The Flash star Ezra Miller is currently prepping for his upcoming filming for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2. WB is still struggling to hire a new director for the DCEU movie. The delay has led to speculation among fans that the movie’s official date for 2018 will be pushed back.

The earlier draft was written by Rick Famuyiwa. Variety’s sources said that WB and the ex-director were in disagreement over the script. It is likely that the studio is in attempt to start on clean slate with The Flash

The Flash cast Kiersey Clemons and Billy Crudup are still in agreement to play their supporting roles for the movie. Earlier rumors suggested Clemons could exit from the movie. The actress has already played a cameo for her role as Iris West.

Miller made his debut appearance as The Flash/Barry Allen cameo in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman. Later, he again made a cameo in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.  The actor has played a prominent role as the speedster in Justice League.

Miller will appear throughout Zack Snyder’s movie. It has been scheduled to release on November 17 2017. In recent promo photos, The Flash was shown standing beside The Batman and the rest of the league. The DC superhero will go up against Parademons and a villain called Steppenwolf in Justice League.
