Fallout 4 has just released a new patch that a lot of fans will surely enjoy. The game was one of the most anticipated games of 2015 and is still one of the most played games around. The newest patch release is practically a threat to its gamers, as there are a lot of improvements made.
Bethesda promised that the Fallout 4 PS4 Pro Patch 1.14, also known as Patch 1.9, was going to upgrade and improve the game play. Apart from the graphics going up to a native 1440p, there are two other features worth nothing as well, Eurogamer noted.
The official patch brought visual upgrade on the PS4 as the pixel count goes up to 1440p. The numbers should be the least of players’ worries as it still manages to impress on an ultra HD display. Just imagine the graphics of Titanfall 2 and Uncharted 4. Overall, it is a noticeable upgrade that will improve the gaming experience.
The quality of the god rays has also improved along with the visual upgrade. It allowed crispier and sharper outlines especially where light shafts fall in the background. It is a big enhancement over the regular PS4 rendition, as the new patch pushes the quality of the effect closer to how it would look like on a PC’s high setting.
The draw distance is also one of the things worth noting. Previously, the PS4 version does not put in detail on the environment. The latest Fallout 4 PS4 Patch update fills in the gaps and renders the graphics even at a distance. Although the changes are a bit more nuanced, gamers will still be able to appreciate how much sharper and cleaning everything looks, as noted by Kotaku.
Better Frame Rates
Despite the patch’s improvements, it does not quite improve the frame rates as much as other players expected. However, there is an alternative that will make it possible. The patch 1.12 does not have the nuanced the latest patch has.
Fallout 4 is a role playing game set in a post-apocalyptic time. This game by Bethesda is already the fifth major installment in the Fallout series. Players emerge from Vault 111, 210 years after the Great War, and must venture forth to find their missing child. In the process, players explore the open world of a post apocalyptic Boston, Massachusetts and the dangers it harbors.
