DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 2 episode 13 saw Rip Hunter going back to his former self due to the help of his team. The Legends will move to episode 14 as they try to locate Commander Steel’s whereabouts.

Episode 14 will see the tension between Rip and Sara. Rip was the captain of the Legends until he converted to his evil side. The Legion of Doom found a way to deter his memories and made him evil. In the past few episodes, Rip caused a lot of trouble for the team. He even tried to kill the Legends. Sara assumed the role of the leader without Rip. Now that he has returned to his former self, it seems like Sara would not immediately let him take over the leadership role.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 2 episode 13: The team went back to the time of the dinosaurs

In episode 13 titled Land of the Lost, Rip issued an override order for Gideon to activate Waverider’s self-destruct sequence. The Legends managed to reboot Gideon and stop the impending destruction of the time-traveling vehicle. Unfortunately, the Waverider crash land in the Cretaceous period. The Legends separate two teams in order to fix their problems. Ray, Amaya, and Nate ventured out to recover a Waverider’s lost engine part.

As the three looks for the lost engine part, Nate and Amaya developed mutual feelings. However, Ray reminded Nate that Amaya’s granddaughter will inherit her abilities. Meanwhile, Mick suggested using a Time Master method of programming to travel inside Rip’s mind. The team wanted to enter Rip’s mind and learn about Commander Steel’s whereabouts as well as the location of the final piece of the Spear of Destiny. Sara and Jax entered Rip’s mind, only to encounter a number of evils from Rip’s past. Moreover, they also met the evil version of themselves.

Sara, Jax, and Gideon worked on freeing Rip’s consciousness. Rip returned to reality and tried to resume his role as Captain. He informed the team about the location of Commander Steel as well as the last piece of the Spear. As the events with the Legends unfold, Apollo 13’s Command Module Pilot John Swigert, met his medical examiner in 1970, revealed to be Eobard Thawne.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow season 2 episode 14: Rip and Sara struggle on the team’s leadership

Rip’s return and revelation from episode 13 will flow to the events in episode 14, titled Moonshot. The Legends will track Commander Steel in 1970. After learning the commander’s location, the team will discover where Nate’s grandfather hid the last piece of the Spear. The team will notice a time aberration in Apollo 13 mission and believes that the Legion of Doom could be involved.

The Legends travel to space to intercept Apollo 13 but the Waverider suffers damage, leaving Ray stranded on the moon. As the team struggles to finish the mission, Rip and Sara will have their own disagreements regarding the team’s leadership. Despite being back to his former self, Sara does not appreciate all the wrongdoings he did against her and their family.
