Dancing With The Stars 24 will be getting a new cast and Ricky Schroder already has a potential partner. Over the past seasons, a lot of celebrities have stepped into their dancing shoes to compete against one another on reality television. Fans do not just see their favorite celebrities on television, but also see them develop a new talent on the dance floor as well.
Clues On Social Media
DWTS Season 23 just ended and fans are already pumped up to see what is in store for the next season. Some have even taken to social media to get some clues on what is coming up in the next season. The latest discovery is Witney Carson may be partnered up win NYPD Blue’s Ricky Schroder.
According to Rickey, the dancer posted a picture of herself and Schroder on stage together on her Instagram. They attended an iHeartRadio party together, and this sparked speculation that they may be partnered up together. While Schroder is a prospective contestant, there is no confirmation on the cast just yet.
Previously, Schroder was asked to join the show in 2015. At the time he was not interested and was adamant that he could not dance at all. Fans are hoping the 46-year-old actor has a change of heart and considers joining the cast.
Other Potential Cast Members
With the success of Season 23, and their amazing cast, fans just can’t wait to see who will be stepping on the dance floor next season. In fact, there is already a list of prospective cast members making rounds on the Internet. According to Blasting News, The Bachelor’s Nick Viall is interested in joining the show.
Another is the Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles. If she joins, then she would be following the footsteps of fellow gymnast Laurie Hernandez. She had declined joining the show last season and is interested in taking part in the show in the future.
Producer Deena Katz has not spilled the bean on who are definitely joining the cast. There is only the clue that they are 52-percent done with casting and are looking for others to join. She notes that they are veering towards nostalgia, Americana, and heroes. In short, they’re trying to get people that audiences will enjoy seeing on the show.
Everyone’s Back on the Show
While the rest of the fans are focused on the potential cast members, the mainstays are all coming back to the show except for one. The professional dancers will all be onboard except for Derek Hough. He is going to be busy doing the Move tour and will not be able to make rehearsals if he does join the show.
While he will be out of this season, Glamour reported that Julianne Hough may take her brother’s place. She’s will be able to train more frequently. However, there is no confirmation yet from DWTS officials.
