The Chilean Navy has admitted that it cannot explain a UFO sighting within its airspace. The strange craft was filmed by a military helicopter during a routine coastal patrol back in November 2014.
UFO Seen In Broad Daylight
The craft was spotted in broad daylight hovering in the clouds while sporadically spewing a sort of gas. The pilots tracked the object from forty miles away and repeatedly tried to communicate with it, but to no avail.
Air traffic controllers also revealed that there were no authorized flights in the area where the craft was spotted. More than two years later, Chilean authorities are still unable to come up with an explanation to the UFO sighting.
Chilean Authorities Still Unable To Explain UFO Sighting After Two Years Of Investigation
The CEFAA, the government’s agency in charge of these sightings, conducted examinations of the footage as well as data from the radar stations and air traffic control. However, they are still puzzled regarding the events of that day.
According to the Huffington Post, the witnesses were a Navy Captain and a Navy technician. CEFAA Director General Ricardo Bermúdez himself interviewed the pilots who caught the object on camera. Bermúdez said he was surprised when the pilots told him they absolutely have no idea what the object was. This is despite having years of experience serving in the Chilean Navy.
They are not alone, however. Even a committee of top military experts and professionals were unable to reach an accord regarding what the object is. The best they can come up with is that it was a twin-engine jet or a helicopter; however, all evidence does not add up.
Judging from the progress of the investigation, it seems that the Chilean UFO sighting will join the ranks of the Loch Ness monster as another unsolvable mystery. For now, we are left to speculate on the truth behind the mysterious craft.
