Fifth Harmony Split: ‘Hurt’ Group Members Slam Camila Cabello Fifth Harmony Instagram

Fifth Harmony members took to the social media to share what they call an “unedited,” “not manipulated” account of what led to Camila Cabello exit the group.

Fans have been demanding answers to the sudden development. Thus, the Fifth Harmony decided to finally open up about what’s going on.

Fifth Harmony Explains Camila Cabello’s Exit

Cabello’s decision to break away from the group and embark on a solo career shocked fans. Everyone thought the group was going stable. She appeared in several images with producer Diplo over the past months. However, no one had really fathomed what was coming.

However, the rest of the band felt its time they break their silence over the latest development. They posted an open letter to their fans on social media following the announcement, CNN reported.

“We know you are hurt and confused, we are too,” the letter read. “We know you want answers. And you deserve them, as you are just as much a part of this group as the four of us are.”

It went on to explain that the rest of the members of the group tried to reach out to Cabello numerous times. They pleaded to her and her team that Fifth Harmony deserves at least one more album of her time. They even said in the letter that Cabello refused to be present in the group meetings that were called to discuss the issue.

“In mid November we were informed via her manager that Camila was leaving the group,” the group added. “At the time we were informed that December 18th would be her final performance with Fifth Harmony. We were truly hurt.”

Cabello also took to the social media to talk about her exit from Fifth Harmony. She said the account posted on the group’s behalf shocked her. According to her, the members’ claim that an “executive” informed them about Cabello’s exit was untrue, the Mirror reported.

“I was shocked to read the statement the Fifth Harmony account posted without my knowing,” she wrote. “The girls were aware of my feelings through the long, much needed conversations about the future that we had during tour. Saying that they were just informed through my representatives that I was ‘leaving the group’ is simply not true.”

She added, “Just like the other girls said in their statement about their plans, I had also planned to continue with my own solo endeavours in the New Year, but I did not intend to end things with Fifth Harmony this way.”
