Blade Runner 2049 New Photos Show The Cars of Future L.A.

Official behind-the-scene photos from the Blade Runner 2049 were just released online. These photos emerged after the new trailer arrived recently. The snapshots and trailer showed enough to get the interest of the people but did not reveal the overall plot of the film. Denis Villeneuve’s sequel to the 1982 science fiction of Ridley Scott had an official synopsis but did not reveal a lot to keep the public’s interest going.

There are reports claiming that the actual plot of the film will lead to a ‘mind-blowing’ moment for a lot of people. Although there are no details regarding the film’s plot, fans can check out the trailer and new photos of the film.

Blade Runner 2049 set photos and new trailer released

A batch of photos from the film was recently released via Blade Runner 2049 official Facebook page. In the photos, Gosling’s Officer K wore an impressive suit while Ford’s Rick is dressed in a simple shirt. The photos showed the contrast between K and Rick which will be an interesting match to be seen.

Aside from the cast photos, the images also gave a glimpse of the future cars in Los Angeles, U.S.A. as first noted by Inverse.The film evoked some similarity to some of the shapes of the automobiles from the 1982 film. There are some predictions that the cars can convert from terrestrial to aerial function. The police car also resembled the flying cop vehicle from the original film but have an additional upgrade. Despite the similarities, the new police car has a more advanced technology with upgraded features than the original version.

The synopsis of the film revealed that decades have passed from the first and second movie which will be a pivotal plot point of the Blade Runner 2049. Thirty years have passed since the events in the first film took place. A new blade runner by the name of LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) discovers a long-kept secret which has the potential to plunge the society into chaos. The discovery led Officer K on a quest to look for a former LAPD runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) who has been missing for over 30 years.

Officer K will find Rick Deckard. The nature of K’s quest and the reason for the search of Rick are still under wraps at the moment. Moreover, the film executives did not divulge any detail about the ‘long-buried secret’ that will prompt Officer K to search for his counterpart 30 years ago.

The first film defined the vision for a cyberpunk future. Fans were anxious to see the sequel, hoping that it will live up to the legacy of the first film. The trailer and the new photos are the only things that the fans can have at the moment. The promotional images were clearly on Ryan Gosling. Still, the photos highlighted Harrison Ford, Ridley Scott, Ana de Armas and director Denis Villeneuve.
