Fans have been receiving mixed responses from Ben Affleck concerning the filming of DCEU’s The Batman. The Oscar winner has been confirmed to be the director for the DC movie. However, he recently hinted at dropping the project.

The Batman cast members like Joe Manganiello have already revealed the filming schedule, set for the spring of 2017. However, Ben Affleck has claimed that the movie currently does not have a script to go ahead with.

Ben Affleck Says ‘There’s No Script’ For The Batman

During Affleck’s interview with The Guardian, the actor-director spoke about directing The Batman. He said, “That’s the idea, But it’s not a set thing and there’s no script. If it doesn’t come together in a way I think is really great I’m not going to do it.”

Ben Affleck’s statement has left fans worried, since there is a possibility that the actor would step down from the DC standalone movie as director. However, a new source suggests that the DCEU title is moving ahead with its plans as expected.

Ben Affleck Standalone Movie Production In LA

Batman On Film recently released new information on the filming of Ben Affleck’s standalone movie.

The website reported, “I have been told that the bulk of the filming of THE BATMAN will take place in Los Angeles- most likely at the Warner Bros. studios in Burbank. When asked if any filming will occur on-location or outside of the U.S., he/she wasn’t sure-but is adamant that production is based on LA.”

It looks like Warner Bros. has plans to continue filming “The Batman” this 2017. However, Ben Affleck might be delaying the project to craft a script that could compete with Nolan’s version.

The Batman has been scheduled to release in 2018. Moreover, Deathstroke was confirmed to be the villain for the standalone movie.
