Angelina Jolie Teaches Kids to Eat Bizarre Delicacy
“See the hard part where you have the teeth? Take the fangs out,” Jolie tells Knox and Vivienne in a video exclusively obtained by BBC. She was pertaining to the spiders as they prepare to cook them in a skillet. BBC’s Yalda Halim was interviewing her while the kids wait for their “dinner.”
Jolie goes on to say that she always believes that spiders are part of humans’ diet. She however emphasizes that people specifically feed on spiders and scorpions during war times. Asked when was the first time she ate bugs, “I first had them when I was first in the country (Cambodia),” Jolie tells Halim in the video. “Crickets, you start with crickets. Crickets and a beer, and then you kind of move up to tarantulas,” she coyly says.
Her kids enjoy the delicacy too as seen in the video. Jolie even had to remind daughter Shiloh that she needs to share the spider among her siblings. Jolie also munches on scorpions. “Hard to chew,” she says while eating. Knox describes the taste of the scorpion: “(Like a) dry chips. Flavorless chips.”
