An addition to the Alien Covenant cast has been confirmed through a new photo released by 20th Century Fox. The photo revealed the participation of James Franco for the upcoming film. Aside from the photo the film will also have an exclusive debut which will premier on the Legion’s episode 3 on FX.
Full Alien Covenant cast members
The recently released photo featured Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup and Katherine Waterston, Danny McBride and Demian Bichir. Other cast members on the photo include Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Callie Hernandez, Jussie Smollett Benjamin Rigby, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and James Franco.
Fassbender will play two roles, namely Walter and David. Weyland Corporation created a synthetic android called Walter. His job is to assist the crew while on board the Covenant. Meanwhile, David was a less advanced android. The corporation made him in order to assist the crew aboard the Prometheus. He was a former crew member of the doomed Prometheus. McBride’s character will serve as the pilot for the Covenant.
In addition, Franco will portray Branson. He is the original captain of the Covenant. Noomi Rapace will reprise her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw. Elizabeth is an archaeologist and was a former crew member of Prometheus. Additionally, Guy Pearce will also reprise his role as Peter Weyland. Peter is the founder and CEO of the Weyland Corporation. He died before the destruction of the Prometheus took place.
There is no confirmation if the footage that will air on FX will be a new clip. The clip might feature a monster attacking an unsuspecting crew member of the Covenant. Presumably, 20th Century Fox might release pieces of the footage on its TV debut.
